Year 2012 was spent on conservation works related to the realization of “Imago Silesiae Inferioris online” project.
Among codices, maps, scores the conservation of almost 1000 photographs from collection that counted 1.500 items that was acquired by Graphic Collection Department from Institute of History of UoW is worthy of note. Due to the severe soiling and damage to the entire collection that resulted from improper storage conditions, decision to renovate whole collection was made. Preformed conservation works allowed for putting accession marks on photographs and for their digitalization.
To register scale of soiling of the collection, selectively photographic documentation of conservation was made during cleaning of the pictures.
